he was big on teaching fencing not like it was just some random show off skill but like you were actually going to use it

The fear one is easier for me to stick with than the pain one. I mean not physical pain, you know I don't give a shit about that, but it's true for other pain as well and I'm not - great at actually paying attention to those lessons.
