Personality: Peter Parker is a man teenager of dualities, still trying to find himself both as a person and a hero. While he doesn't always make the best decisions while trying to find the person he's going to be he does learn from them.

Peter is both equal parts eager to prove himself and haunted by the potential guilt of what might happen if he were to fail. He's alluded to understanding the consequences of failing to act when he had the chance and this fear of failure drives him as much as his eagerness to prove himself. Peter desperately wants to prove to others than he can be a hero, often getting himself in over his head trying to be that hero. Despite having the best of intentions at heart there are sometimes unitended, negative consequences from that eagerness. People have been hurt (and possibly killed) because of his actions or failure to act and that isn't something that he takes lightly, although sometimes he doesn't take it seriously until after those mistakes are made. While he's learned to temper his expectations a bit he's still often overly zealous in what he takes on. Whether it be going up against a criminal arms dealer in a suit made of stolen tech or aliens from another planet he never lakes the drive to do what he sees as the right thing.

Still very much a teenager Peter can be resistant to advice that has him sitting on the sidelines. At the same time he's incredibly eager to please and is equally enthusiastic to take orders from someone if it means he gets to be involved. Without question he agreed to help Tony Stark fight the other Avengers because his hero asked him to but he was just as defiant when Tony told him to not face any serious threats after that.

With his costume off Peter is a shy, science loving, sometimes socially awkward teenage boy. His self-confidence comes in spurts and he shies away from doing things that would draw attention to himself or would be socially risky. Even in an entire school full of nerds Peter is a bit of a social outcast or any easy target for teasing, possibly because he doesn't do much to stand up for himself. He can get tongue tied around girls he likes or when trying to verbalize overwhelming emotions. In social situations he often switches between being near stream-of-consciousness rambling and being unable to articulate what he wants to say. Peter does tend to shy in academics though, self-assured and confident when it comes to more objective knowledge and things he can learn through studying versus social interaction.

As Spider-Man Peter becomes a much different person. Bursting with confidence and quips he will happily take on the most dangerous situations with a (sometimes literal) bounce in his step. Spider-Man is the person that Peter would have eventually grown into, given enough time and experience. Less the superpowers and more the mask as Spider-Man he's able to avoid (for the most part) those awkward social situations that cause him so much trouble as plain old Peter. With the strong sense of right and wrong that comes with being a teenager or a frozen super soldier he's able to go about helping people. Driven by the knowledge that if he doesn't act people will get hurt, people seeks to be the kind of hero that can make a difference in the world.

That's not say that he doesn't enjoy being a superhero because he clearly loves being Spider-Man, literally counting down the minutes until school is over and he's free to put the costume on again. Peter is aware that Spider-Man isn't all fun and games though, having faced his fair share of attacks and injuries but none of that is enough to deter him from what he sees as his responsibility. He loves being Spider-Man but even if he didn't he would still do what needed to be done to help others.

Integration Questions

how will your character handle being assigned a leadership role: Conflicted. Peter will want a chance to prove himself while being worried that his inexperience (or just making a bad choice) will get people hurt or killed. Most likely the first time he will try and act like he can handle it and try to do everything himself. Gradually he will learn that it's okay to ask others for advice and to learn from them, that becoming a leader doesn't mean having all the right answers all the time yourself. Per his usually MO, he will fail and learn from those failures.

how will your character handle being assigned an antagonist role: Not well. Most likely he will refuse to be the antagonist even at great pain to himself. Peter would truly rather suffer and die than be someone evil. Perhaps as a minor antagonist he would go along (with the intention of failing on purpose) but anything truly awful he would refuse to do (so long as the consequences of disobedience are limited to himself).

how will your character handle the implication that they’re not real / are a clone: Fairly well. He's aware of advanced technology and will consider his mind "real" but the body not real. He's played video games before so he'll just tell himself it's something like that.

Powers

Powers / Enhancements: Spider Physiology: After Peter Parker was bitten by a genetically altered spider, he has gained the proportionate powers of a spider.
◾Superhuman Strength: Spider-Man has considerable superhuman strength, due to it being the proportional strength of a spider. Although he is relatively untrained, his strength alone is sufficient enough to catch a 1.4-ton car that was moving at 40 miles an hour when it was just inches away from hitting a bus. He was also able to casually overpower the Winter Soldier and his cybernetic arm, break through a bulletproof glass window with only a few blows, lifting up rows of school lockers, as well as to support the weight of a jet bridge that weighs about 30 tons, and was even able to lift a considerable portion of concrete roof that Vulture had collapsed on top of him, though both prowesses visibly strained him painfully.
◾Superhuman Speed: Spider-Man can run and move much faster than an ordinary human and is adept at dodging quickly. ◾Superhuman Durability: Spider-Man's body is inhumanly resistant towards impact force, as he has taken a punch from Winter Soldier and a spinning air kick from Captain America, without any serious injuries. Spider-Man has survived being dragged from a speeding van and enduring hits from garbage bins and stacks of bricks, as well as Vulture collapsing a considerable portion of a concrete roof on top of him, with only minor injuries.

◾Superhuman Agility: Spider-Man is superhumanly agile, capable of swinging around on thin spider-webbing and jumping great distances and heights without difficulty. His bones, muscles, and joints have more elastic strength and durability, allowing him to perform gymnastic and contortionist maneuvers without damaging his bone structure.

◾Superhuman Equilibrium: Spider-Man possesses the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. He is able to adjust his position by instinct, which enabled him to balance on a string of web and perform a somersault, as well as catch a web cartridge while standing on the railing of a fire escape. Virtually, he can balance himself on any object, no matter how small or narrow.

◾Enhanced Senses: Spider-Man's senses are greatly enhanced, with him describing them as being "dialed to eleven". Hence, Parker is able to sense potentially dangerous things shortly before they occur. For example, if an object is being thrown at Spider-Man, he will usually be aware of it, even if it is hurled from far away and he is facing the opposite direction.

◾Enhanced Vision: Spider-Man's sense of sight is superhuman, to the point that he is forced to wear dark goggles to prevent it from handicapping him in a battle, as there is "too much input".

◾Spider-Sense: Spider-Man's brain intakes and responds to stimuli at an accelerated rate, alerting him to dangers around him as a sixth sense. This awareness functions on a subconscious level, thus alerting Spider-Man of dangers he cannot readily notice at first, allowing him to effectively dodge and counter incoming attacks in combat, including projectiles aimed at him from a blind spot. However, as his enhanced reflexes directly correspond to his sensory input, he can be rendered vulnerable to attacks if his senses are overloaded. Spider-Man also, despite his incredible reflexes, can be caught by surprise should he allow himself to get distracted.

◾Wall-Crawling: Spider-Man can adhere to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in order to scale them and has stated that he does not use any adhesive gloves or fabrics to do it. This ability allows him to stick to almost any surface when willing himself to, as physical contact with said surfaces creates a locking connection necessary to support his body, even when he is inverted above the ground. Alternatively, Parker could make individual portions of his body adhesive, which allowed him to stick his foot onto the chest of a bank robber to fling him into a wall.

◾Regenerative Healing Factor: Spider-Man's increased metabolism allows him to rapidly heal and regenerate from harm faster and more extensively than normal humans can recover from.

Nerf Details: Peter will "merely" have the body of an athlete level athlete at the peak of their performance. Something akin to an Olympic gymnast with the skills of the type of people who do parkour and obstacle courses for a living. While no longer able to stick to surfaces he will still be able to climb things with incredible grip strength. Peter will get tired just like a normal human though, albeit one in peak physical condition who has trained their entire life to do incredible acrobatic stunts.
